Free Music (and sounds) for Your Films Vol. 3

in #music7 years ago

Until I have more or my own own sounds and music to release to the Steem community, I continue the Free Music series with an additional packages of royalty free sounds!  If you're a video or game creator, I imagine you might find these useful.  I know I will.

First up...

THE MUSIC

Alexander Barbarian

I really enjoy what Alexander is creating.  His wonderfully dark synthwave collection of music reminds me of 1980's John Carpenter compositions with a dash of Daft Punk and a sprinkle of post rock gods Mogwai.  The crunchy beats and deep droning definitely puts my limbic system into overdrive.  My imagination runs wild with this music.

Antti Luode

All of Antti's music is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license and the range here is quite eclectic.  From Jazzy piano to 8-bit chiptune combinations there are 1,377 instrumental tracks free to download and use!

Please make sure to credit our artists here on your work.  It's all they ask and is the least we can do if we use their music.

THE SOUNDS

Kickboxing

As the title states, this is a recording of kickboxing taking place in a large space.  There's a good amount of wetness to the sounds and the recordings are very clear.  So if you have a gym scene, you can use these sounds without attribution if you like.

But if you do decide to donate via the link above, you can gain access to over 35GB of sounds for your use!

New York City

57 minutes of ambient, New York City sounds!  The recordings are clear and varied.  Trucks idling, traffic churning, birds chirping and the overall drone cities tend to have.  I love this and will definitely keep these in my back pocket when I need some good city sounds.

In fact, if you go to to their YouTube page, you can find a whole host of free sounds to flesh out all of your films or musical soundscapes.

That's it for now fellow creators!  I hope you found this helpful and look forward to seeing what you all do with it.

Break a leg out there.

Phil
