Metharme Returns - Behind the scenes of a SciFi trailer cue (cinematic music composition)

In this video I walk you through how I composed a hybrid cinematic piece of music for a fictional movie called "Metharme Returns".

This project was a community challenge from Hans Zimmer's masterclass over at http://masterclass.com (which is a great masterclass btw).
All the voice overs and the script was created by community members. The challenge was to create a cinematic SciFi trailer que using a voiceover package as well as a few old sci fi effects. We then had to explain our thought processes behind the music. This is what I came up with:
