Let's talk music, coincidentally or not, most songs also fall somewhere in the span of 60 and 200 beats per minute. However, when you graph the frequency of bpms for the top 10,000 streamed songs, the most common tempos are not in the resting heart rate zone, when you’d expect most people are listening to music, but slightly higher, between 120 to 130 bpm.
When we look back into ancient tribes, they would use the bpm 120-123 to hypnotize and preform ancient dance rituals. If we look further into our time I find Techno to be the most hypnotic music especially if witnessed somewhere like Stereo Montreal with the right dj behind the decks.
What do you think of Techno music?
Here's a dj/producer I find always holds is it down https://soundcloud.com/hyteofficial/hyte-nye-podcast-confidns
Yeah man electronic music can be very hypnotic. I believe that this is why many people listen to minimal or dub electro while working at the computer.
It's tempo ranges make the listener more alert and focused. Just like a cup of coffee but then without the jittery side-effects :)
very nice way of putting it haha. I love minimal when working haha
