SPOTLIGHT ON is a weekly #RADIOSHOW for the music lover who wants to broaden his/her horizon. Always a surprise but with an unmistakable hunger for the musical adventure and experiment. It airs every sunday from 22:00-00:00 CET on the #Dutch local radiostation LOESFM (http://www.loesfm.nl)

Yes, it's dutch spoken but that should be no problem since the 'spotlight' is on music obviously.
In the 1st hour this focus is on the latest album releases ("Nieuw Plaatwerk" in dutch) while the 2nd hour ("De Onderstroom" meaning The Undercurrent) takes the music to everything from #jazz ("Jazz-Vibes" edition) to #electronicmusic ("Electro-Sphere" edition) to #ambient and beyond. The 2nd hour also regularly features specials around obscure artists , genres and records labels.
So what brings you the upcoming show of february 25th ? Well check it out below:

1st hour (22:00-23:00 cet)

These old guys keep on delivering the goods ! Saxon's latest album is another 'bang-your-head-fest'. I dare to say one of their best albums in the last decade(s.)

Excellent instrumental progpower from this german outfit Long Distance Calling

Knipsel 3.JPG
A promising track from Jonathan Wilson's upcoming new album 'Rare Birds' (march 2). Great vibes for sure.

UK-psychpop Django Django have released their 3rd album with clever crafted stuff

Another UK band that just released their 3rd album. Hookworms from Leeds show that evolution comes from experience.

Rae Morris. Experimental Pop from this young british singer/songwriter.

With his 'Syne' project ambient artist Dennis Huddlestone (a.k.a. 36) has crafted an interesting album with a nod to (minimal) techno.

OKAY, ALBUM OF THE WEEK, so you can expect 3 (in fact 4) tracks from this Manchester three-piece band that delivers jazz with an electronic twist. "A HUMDRUM STAR" is a nod to the obvious insignificance of our planet in the cosmos but on that lost, little planet this music is truly top of the bill.

2nd hour (23:00-00:00)
It's time for a #Jazz vibes edition with also some funk thrown in. You can expect tracks from ROBERT GLASPER, SNARKY PUPPY, THE BUDOS BAND, MARCUS MILLER, MEDESKI-SCOFIELD-MARTIN&WOOD and more.
