As we officially usher in the new year 2018, and reflecting on the year 2017, there is a lot I will love to forget, feelings I wish i did not feel, experiences I am glad I experienced, the people I am thankful I met "for different reasons" and also there are the wonderful music that helped me through the year.
I feel its only justified that I share some of my amazing music albums in the year 2017.
I'll like to note that a lot of these artists weren't even on my top 10 artists list before the year, unless for a few exceptions.
Some of the albums below may come as a surprise to my friends, while others may not. I'm more RnB inclined but got trapped by some Rap/Trap music this past year Lmao 😊. Enjoy!
"Ed Sheeran - Divide"
Because it takes you on a journey through what seems to be his life. It’s like listening to a story in music form.
"Kendrick Lamar - DAMN"
This album was my favorite album this for that reverse factor. You think the album is great already off 1st listen, but when you figure out the story is in reverse it’s even more crazy. The ending is the beginning.
"SZA - Ctrl"
I love this because of the 90s stuff but SZA went crazy on this one, I love R&B.
"2 Chainz - Pretty Girls Like Trap Music"
This right here is without doubt my best album of the year.
The originality and realness in the songz are out of this world. I relate with a lot of the songz on a personal level.
"Khalid - American Teen"
This is my RnB album of the year...
I love Khalid to heaven and back. There is this teenage originality depicted in his songs, its innocent & amazing.
"Dj Khaled - Grateful"
The most complete album of the year, in my opinion.

Although i enjoyed Davido's singles

21 Savage definitely had a breakout year. Not to mention his last feature on a single last year was Bartier Cardi with Cardi B which is already a hit.
21 savage actually drew my attention to trap music.. He's has a really menacing persona which i found so attractive.
That piece with cardi B is just something else men!! #dope

Nice post...Love the Khalid album and SZA album is really good.Yeah Sia' Chistmas album was also very nice but I still don't know about James Blunt.Perhaps old prejudices that I still have,can't say I listened to his latest album.Good work here.
