En realidad, se trata de uno de los museos mas llamativo de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.
La Usina del arte se encuentra junto a la autopista BUENOS AIRES - LA PLATA. Por ello es una de las mas "vistosas".
HISTORIA: La construcción de la Usina del Arte, de estilo florentino con el ladrillo a la vista, data de 1916 y es obra del arquitecto italiano Juan Chiogna. Durante muchos años funcionó en sus instalaciones la antigua compañía Italo Argentina de Electricidad, una gran obra de infraestructura que fue recuperada y puesta en valor por el Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en 2012. La restauración siguió el modelo de otras similares que fueron exitosas en varias ciudades del mundo, en las que otros edificios de origen industrial fueron transformados para uso artístico, como el Aromoryon Park de Nueva York o el Radial System de Berlín.
La Usina del Arte cuenta con una sala sinfónica con capacidad para 1.200 personas que se diseñó en base al patrón de la sala Berlage de Amsterdam. Su acústica, que es óptima, merece un capítulo aparte, ya que se aprovechó al máximo la estructura del edificio y el espesor de sus paredes.

The Usina del Arte has a symphonic hall with a capacity for 1,200 people that was designed based on the pattern of the Berlage hall in Amsterdam. Its acoustics, which is optimal, deserves a separate chapter, since the structure of the building and the thickness of its walls were used to the maximum.
