El partido se ha celebrado tras la ceremonia inaugural en el Estadio Luzhnikí de Moscú, donde el presidente del país, Vladímir Putin, ha dado un breve discurso. Desde hoy 32 selecciones se enfrentarán por hacerse con el título de mejor equipo del mundo.
