Moving Apartments

Hey guys welcome back to my blog today I'm writing about moving apartments.
So I moved to Spain just under 2 years ago into my boyfriend's apartment above the local English bar. I loved it but I always knew I wanted to escape from the English community and centre ourselves further away into the depths of freedom and looking outside of our balcony not see every man and his dog who we knew.
We spoke about it all the time and was so excited to move even though we hadn't finalised it!
One day I went on to Facebook marketplace (the only reason I have Facebook) and I saw a beautiful 2 bed apartment that was way out of our reach but decided to message the agent, only to get a reply and a viewing a few days later.
We turned up and the apartment was absoloutly stunning and too good to be true. - we wanted it, more than ever.
The amount of money we had to put down was completely out of sight so we decided to make an offer of pretty much 50% of what the agent asked for.
The agent was Spanish and by text he said 'uno momento', which means one minute.
So we waited and waited, and BAM! YES was the answer.
Me and Ben jumped up and down screaming, this place is a dream. An attic, 2 balconys, 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment! The happiest day ever!
The night before we were so certain we wasn't getting this place, we even ordered 2 50 inch pizzas each, for a loss! But no! Our dreams came true and nothing was bringing us down.
Update to today, we have 8 days until we move in. The anticipation is high, we are surrounded by stacked boxes absoloutly everywhere! What a mess!
But so so worth it.
Everything in the new apartment is white and there is no dark brown anywhere like our apartment now. It's a new build and absoloutly gorgeous!
We are so lucky to be moving during a pandemic. It definitely fell in our favour though, due to the lack of tourists at the moment.
Gosh we have 8 days till were on the biggest balcony ever! We are so lucky, we have 4 men helping us (good friends), a man and a van and our local fave Gary the grape and his car, such beautiful humans.

Its all very exciting but it hasn't been plain and simple. About 2 weeks ago Ben and me went to show our friend our apartment so, we walked up to the top attic where we live and noticed some people inside as one young 18 year old boy had jumped over the balcony in plain site of us, we were so confused. Beno, being Beno - our friend, jumped over the balcony to see 3 kids chilling inside on blow up beds! What a nightmare! Luckily Beno knew the boys and warned them that we would be moving in to the apartment in a month time so steer clear. Beno's Spanish is really coming along.
We kept going back every couple of days and noticing someone was in there as we saw the lights from a TV or laptop flicker.
It turns out the landlord has someone in there for security protection untill we move in so all is fabulous and we are so ready to move in 8 days!
It doesn't matter if we are surrounded by chaos, our beautiful new chapter is coming. A fresh start away from the local bar and the best entertaining space on our balcony for close friends and beautiful memories.
Roll on our first BBQ!
