I personally really liked the book. I'm pretty sure they'll mess up the movie, so let's put it this way:
Would you like to be disappointed in the near future? Read the book and make your expectations high.
Would you like to watch a most-likely mediocre movie with no emotional attachment? Wait for the movie.
