100 Films in 2018: #3 -- A Ghost Story

My third film of 2018 was "A Ghost Story." Despite the title, this is not a horror movie, which is made pretty obvious by the way the titular ghost is depicted. What you see on the poster is exactly what is in the film: a sheet with two eye-holes cut out.

I don't like giving away plots of films, so I'll give a few notes on this one instead.

I was somewhat bored for a while with this one, but as it went on, I became more and more intrigued with everything.

Again, yes, the ghost is kind of goofy looking, bit this film was surprisingly moving. It's depiction of the passage of time will surely stay with me for a while, and it really makes you think about what the very spot you're sitting/standing right now will look like down the road.

There's a scene of Rooney Mara's character eating an entire pie in real-time.

While I don't think I'd recommend this to a lot of people, I really enjoyed it. It's probably too artsy/abstract for the casual viewer, but if you're looking for something a little different, check this one out.
