That's funny, someone asked me what my favorite film from after 2000 was and I was going to say Fight Club but that was from 1999 so I couldn't actually think of a more recent movie I was willing to defend as great, that's sad. I was listening to the radio the other day and they were pointing out that like 13 of the top 15 movies were part of a franchise, original films are just not a sure thing for the studios I guess.
