ADSactly Entertainment - Lessons From Movies #7

Kingsman

I don’t usually watch or talk about action movies because most of them don’t have many things to share. This one is different. This movie has many subtle lessons that could help some people, illustrated through the great characters but sadly most people end up getting lost in the epic visuals and miss all the gems.

This post has a few spoilers so to correctly understand what I’m talking about; I advise you to watch the movie beforehand. I'm writing about the first movie since I feel it has more to share, but you could watch both since they are great for entertainment. I’m writing about the first movie from the series since I feel it has more to share, but you could watch both since they are great for entertainment.

Disclaimer: I have to note that these are my opinions, what I took from the movie, but I advise you to watch it yourself, maybe you will feel differently or pick up on something I missed.

Style

There are what I could call two schools of thought to this, one that claims that style is not essential and only what’s inside matters and the other one that says that it is important to be stylish. I think the best is to merge the two of them. Yes, appearance may not be necessary, and it’s superficial to judge someone by the way they look but, if you take advantage of looks to make your point of view have a more significant impact, then you win.

Eggsy, one of the leading characters is dressed like any other kid at the beginning of the movie, but by the end, he’s already looking like a gentleman. He’s pretty much the same person that he was somewhere in the middle of the movie, but his appearance changed because he understood that the first impression matters.

A thing that most people don’t understand is that the first impression is the most important one because it sticks with you and even if you change yourself, those people will perceive your actions the same. When we meet new people, we store them in files in our brains based on the first impression; it’s an easy way to assume who’s more important than others and many times it might be right. [Here](https://psychcentral.com/news/2011/01/19/first-impressions-are-more-lasting-than-once-thought/22769.html)'s an interesting study I have found on this topic that you might like.

To get out of that file is hard but what’s easier is to make an astonishing first impression, and one of the ways to do that is through your style, you don’t even need to talk.

Team Work

One of the essential ideas of the movie that is emphasized over and over again is teamwork. The Kingsman are a team and have to work together, and the only way for them to succeed is if they help each other to accomplish any required tasks.

If there’s one thing I have learned so far it is that we cannot win on our own, we need help. We need to work with other people even if, for some, the idea of a lone wolf is more appealing. In your life, you will stumble upon many people but if you can keep close those that you find valuable and share your journey together with them as much as possible, not only will it will be easier for you, but it will be more fun as well.

Still, you have to be cautious and only work with A players because if you have any B or C players in your team, they will drag the whole thing down. When the Kingsmen were making the selections for the next Lancelot, they had to cut off every B player and even the A- players so they could keep only the outstanding ones, the best.

Build your team, your circle of friends and include only the best people in there so you can all succeed.

Corruption

This is not emphasized too much in the movie, but as you can notice somewhere at the end when they are triggering the chips, some people blow up, many of them are politicians. This is an excellent parallel to our world because even if the people in control, the politicians, don’t have chips in their necks, many of them are still on someone’s payroll, a handful of influential people still control them.

Even if this system is alive and well, you don’t have to be part of it, both you and the corrupt system can live at the same time without interfering with each other. It’s never easy to change the way things work, to stop corruption but you can always decide not to be part of it and stick to your core values.

Arthur gave Eggsy the opportunity to join the evil forces and gain many benefits that could change his life, but he decided to stay grounded and turn him down, even if he might not win anything as a result of his decision.

The best thing we can do is to decide not to play their game and teach our loved ones not to do it either. This way we can influence them and they can influence other people and so on until, a few years from now, we can change the lives of a significant number of people this way.

Lessons Learned

One of the most important lessons I have learned from this movie is about having the right character because it doesn’t matter that much if you succeed or if you don’t, but it does matter how you do it.

Being able to stand by your values in a world of shiny things is not going to be easy, and you might not even get recognition or rewards for it but at the end of the day it is the right thing to do, and that is more important.

Conquering the world on your own in the right fashion is impossible, but the best way to do it is while you’re surrendered by other people that can keep your morals up and give you a boost from behind when the things don’t go as planned.

Hi everyone! pls do help to upvote this post for my friend's father's heart. They need our support right now..

In the film "KINGSMAN" directed by Matthew Vaughn, there is a very interesting quote about always progressing in one's own life. Indeed, one must know how to question oneself and correctly manage one's ego in order to take the best decisions.

Questions and self-awareness always help you take better decisions. ;)

Thanks @adsactly now I have to watch it again. I only gave it a look before for the entertainment value. I did not really pay attention to the undertones and possible philosophical undertones. your post was a good quick read.

It's worth to be watched twice for sure but the second one is great too. ;)

Congratulations indeed a well done article! I really like this film but you gave me some important insights to watch it in another light, I'll go and review it keeping in mind your thoughts! Thank you so much and again congratulations .... sorry my bad English!

Thanks a lot, don't worry about your English too much, even if it needs some improvement, it's understandable enough. ;)

Good post

A thing that most people don’t understand is that the first impression is the most important

They say the clothes make the man, and these are some killer duds. Your review of this movie sounds like an agent 007 all over with Kingsman working for the goverment. With a flavor of fun of course. You mantioned corruption a lot, which doesn’t surprise me at all since the goverment is involved afterall.lol The scene of exploding heads using high caliber technology and the scene inside the bar shows clearly how I should expect this movie being full of adventure, perhaps fun, perhaps parody. If I could compare your review of this movie to some other movie I would probably choose “Deadpool” based on humor or “Spy”.

yes thank you...

Nice blog... follow you.

Hey, thanks a lot. I will probably write about Deadpool too sometime in the future since it's one of my favorite movies, just gotta rewatch it. :)

I just watched this film on Netflix and I have to say that it is so insane, it was brilliant. 10 out of 10. If you are weak in heart, fast forward the church scene. Total carnage.

Yeah, that scene was mental, but the quality of the filmmaking techniques they used are impressive.

Very interesting post by @GuyFawkes4-20 and @adsactly, I really enjoy reading this. One topic touched me most is about team work

'Build your team, your circle of friends and include only the best people in there so you can all succeed.'

This is so true, Finding a good team and surrounding yourself with the best people is the key to success in anything: in business, in investing , in trading , in sports and in all other aspects of life , . I totally know the importance and enjoy the benefits of that.

Yes, if you include C or even B players they will only drag you down.

this is a great vidio,
I think the most stressful view of vidio when they are sleeping and suddenly they are all drowning, most of all a young man trying to save all his friends, when he broke the glass that I really worried about, if the glass did not break, then they all will definitely die of out of breath.
this is really vidio that can be learned.

To listen to the audio version of this article is very nice post

If you think of learning something from a film then most of the time you will find something to learn. It seems that you liked a bit this film,i am very fond of action film one thing i always see in action film is team work,if you don't trust your partner then it becomes difficult for you to achieve your goal and another thing is stick to the right path. You also found something in this film is style and another thing is corruption but this two thing is very much common in action film.Thank's for sharing.@upvoted

Nice post as well as topic for discussion @adsactly Kings Man The Gold Circle
Eggsy drives the sub to a secret, underwater chamber. He has a choice – wait out the police presence or find another way out. Merlin tells Eggsy there is a way out but he won’t like it.

The only other way to exit the chamber is by jumping into human waste and swimming through it. Thus, Merlin presents the question of how important the dinner is.

Amazingly, Eggsy chooses to take the plunge. That’s how important the dinner was.

You’re going to have to evaluate the importance of the situations you’re faced with. Choose wisely.

I have to go watch this movie. It sound like a good plot and life lessons.

I can see you enjoyed the film.I haven't seen the film but i am surely gonna watch the film.I am fond of action film the cool style of the heroes attracts me.Their never give up attitude and standing against the evil i like it very much. There is always corruption in all action film.Thank you for such post.

wonderful movie, I'm gonna watch it fully...

one of my favorite movies but i never really got some of these lessons. I'll more open-minded when watching movies from now on.
thanks for the heads-up

As your wrote-''One of the most important lessons I have learned from this movie is about having the right character because it doesn’t matter that much if you succeed or if you don’t, but it does matter how you do it''. I think this is the most important thing in human life because even a dog can feed itself but a virtuous person is a gem. We ought to prefer values rather than money. I like the way you defined all the characteristics of a successful man, his team and his values through the story of a movie.

Values are very essential, but many people just forget about them once they are on top, sadly.

Poeple don't realize value of values.

Hello @adsactly

Kudos to @guyfawkes4-20 for such a wonderful review here.

Okay Lets start, although he dwelled more on the part one of the movie, I'm just going to put a bit of the part two.

The sacrifice made by Merlin was a great one, and I learnt what it meant to have great friends who sacrifice for the better good. Pure genius by him he did redefine teamwork.

And to conclude, I've learnt from your blog surely, that first impressions do matter a lot and yeah we can't go conquering like a Lone Wolf, because a pack is always stronger, and not only a pack, but also a great pack with same positive mindset.

Keep being amazing @adsactly community.

I focused only on the first movie since I felt that it has more to give but the second one is certainly great too.

Style seems a perfect psychological based movie with strong message of how first impression matters a lot. As you stated with which i am fully agreed,

A thing that most people don’t understand is that the first impression is the most important one because it sticks with you and even if you change yourself, those people will perceive your actions the same.

Very well analysis of the movies and this thing enabled me to understand the psyche of the life in a more deep way @GuyFawkes4-20 BRAVO

Thanks a lot, style is essential indeed, but there are many things as important if not even more important than that. ;)

wow really excellent move To listen to the audio version of this article click on the play image..thanks for sharing

Hello brother @adsactly, Excellent movie is called kingsman, I've seen it several times, because I like the plot and skills of the main character. Good movie, I recommend it

I'm actually an action movie kind of guy. I watch horror and cartoons. But it seems like you've drawn some important lessons from this movie. I would have a hard time convincing my wife my watch an action move, lol. But perhaps I need to approach horror movies with the same sort of approach. To learn something and take something out of it. I'm sure there will be something to learn there as well, esp psychological.

The approach is fundamental, I often miss on many things when I watch movies just for fun, but when I view them with the purpose of learning something, I find a lot of gems.

Professionalism and workmanship is the foundation of success

This quote really inspired me. "is about having the right character because it doesn’t matter that much if you succeed or if you don’t, but it does matter how you do it" Thanks @adsactly I love all of the movie lessons.

One of the most important lessons I have learned from this movie is about having the right character because it doesn’t matter that much if you succeed or if you don’t, but it does matter how you do it.

True @adsactly
people will not just see your success story. they will look behind the scenes to see how you came to be the success you are.

"Kingsman" is an amazing movie in which there are no passing scenes. The main role in creating the atmosphere in this film is played by its source-comic Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The film does not split into bright episodes, and looks logical and consistent. Witty dialogues are replaced by splendidly shown fights. All this in the beautiful performance of Colin Firth, Samuel Jackson and further on the list... And in the main place of course, is the way of destroying mankind.

The Secret Service is a very versatile movie. On the one hand, it shows us in many scenes as a break of habitual patterns. On the other hand, the plot has time to pass on Snobizmu, and on warming of climate, and on politicians, and on religious sects, and on junk. It all looks fun. It is worth admitting that in some things Valentine was right. So the "Secret Service" can be considered a self-sufficient parody.

Particular attention can be paid to the scene in the church. This became the main attraction in the film. Suddenly, bloody .. in a word Thrash. Someone liked it, but someone does not. I was surprised :)

Thanks for the nice post.

It's a movie that says many things about our world and where we might end up. :)

I fricking love this movie.

These contributions are the ones that are really needed in steemit, publications that provide something good ... You have my congratulations, keep it up

Hola @adsactly! Excelente post, no he visto la pelicula pero hay que trabajar en equipo para obtener buenos resultados, saludos cuidate un fuerte abrazo en la distancia. siguiendote, votacion positiva y reestem

Nice entertainment movie

There is a lot to be learned from stories. I just wish Holleywood remembed that there is more to making movies than just making money. They are morals, lessons, and teaching tools.

Stories are a great way to embed lessons; our brain learns better in a fun way.

Exactly

I am so excited to be returning to fables. Black panther was amazing.

Star wars seems to have forgotten this.

I hope for a return to morality tales.
