Summary Of The Story

The movie "Black Panther" tells the story of T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) who has just been crowned king in his country, Wakanda. He had to replace his father King T'Chaka who died from an explosion at the PBB office.

In the early days of leading his country T'Challa got word that an old enemy of his country, Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), managed to steal Wakanda artefacts from the British Museum. T'Challa set out to search for Klaue in order to bring Klaue to the Wakandans. But unexpectedly, his attempt failed because Klaue was assisted by a mysterious man named Erik "Killmonger" Steven (Michael B. Jordan), a man graduated from MIT as well as a former American soldier.

It turns out Killmonger is a big secret that was brought to death by King T'Chaka since he was young. T'Challa was surprised to hear the secret and finally decided to turn Wakanda into a different country from the leadership of his father and his ancestors.

Highlights

There are so many positive things to talk about Black Panther because this movie is not a superhero movie in general both in terms of story and appearance. This film is also very show the empowerment of women. Women are shown as a formidable figure and not just a decorative film. The role of women is really significant for the success of King T'Challa solve the problems that occurred in Wakanda, ranging from lover T'Challa Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), mother T'Challa Ramonda (Angela Basset), and his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) .

Weakness

To be honest it is very difficult for me to see the weakness of this movie. But if you have to choose, maybe the role of Agent Ross (Martin Freeman) can be added more because the character feels a little forced.

Recommendation

For me This movie should be watched for all superhero movie fans because the story presented is quite fresh and not the same as other Marvel movies. What is also interesting is, Black Panther also seems to be enjoyed for those who have never watched other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies because the story is easily digested.
