RE: The Dark Tower Movie Won't Come Close to the Dark Tower Novels

in #movie7 years ago

I'm a fan of Stevin King. Of course it's not very good when the film does not match the original, but the producers want to make a profit and that's their right, as is the right of Stevin King to sell the rights to the screen version. Read books, and your imagination will create new worlds))) I'm waiting for the premiere in Russia.

Sure, they have the right to do that. And I have every right to critique and ignore them too. All I can hope for is that the movie won't mangle the books too badly.

Totally agree with you. I noticed that screening is better if the author participates. I still like the Shining King (TV version) more than the version of Stanley Kubrick (not a bad director). But this is my opinion.

I suppose if nothing else, the author has a vested interested in proper representation of his work.
