Benefits of Watching a Movie! (based on my experience :p)

In today’s age, we also call the movies as "Films", it involves a type of visual communication which includes the moving pictures and sound to tell or narrate stories (as per a dictionary's definition).

There are several benefits of watching movies as they help people learn if they are made on a real fact or learning point. We can understand the benefits of movies as people in every part of the world watch them as a type of entertainment and to have fun. Watching movies has become a great amusement source for people of every age group, it becomes an interest and a diversion. Movies are enjoyed and loved by all and they have this ability of influencing our lives whether in a negative or positive way. Each movie teaches us a lesson. Every movie has its own popularity based on different criteria or genre. People that belongs to different age groups watch movies with different purposes.

Movies also affect our human mind whether sometimes in a positive direction or sometimes in a negative way. There are a number of benefits of watching movies:

• Alleviates stress! By watching movie/s with our friends along with eating popcorns can release our stress.
• We feel and release various expressions while watching a movie like excitement, fear, thrill, sadness, anger and joy. During those two and a half hours, we are transferred to a world away from reality and enjoy every moment of it.
• After watching sometimes we feel relaxed, fresh & stress free from our daily issues. Sometimes it also adds little tension because we got involved so much with the plot and with the characters.
• Movies offer a great entertainment, they also play an important role in enhancing an individual’s mental health. They offer people to take time to relax and forget about their daily issues and problems. Through watching a movie, a person can release his or her daily issues as we usually get involved in the characters in a movie. It is one of the top most benefits of watching movies.
• Increasing Information & Awareness : Movies based on the events or some other informative sources has one more benefit as it help people a lot in increasing their ideas about the real world. While watching movies, we usually see a person’s life & and their way of living. Movies on topics such as dowry, caste system, honour killing and socio economic increase our social knowledge.
• Boosts social skills : Movies also help people in leveling-up their socio-economic skills. Mainly kids can enhance their social skills through the ideas from the movies like tackling the problems, facing situations, making & choosing new & real friends. Movies can be used as great topics for conversation, you will be surprised to how much individuals can talk about a certain movie. I once read in Facebook (in one of the group pages I joined), they are planning on meeting up in Starbucks just to discuss the latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi. Isn't this a great opportunity? Meeting new friends, bonding and learning new stuff.
• Educational Benefits : Documentary movies provide educational benefits and they are generally very interesting to watch. Many historical films provides us very vast information about how life was in the past.
• Inspiration! Getting inspired is the most important benefit of watching movies. In short, we can say that movies help and work in delivering important messages to the society. People always try to recreate something that they experienced, it does not matter if they watched it or they heard it. And movies is a great source for these kinds of inspiration.

This is but a few of the reasons why I love watching movies. I get transported to a totally different world, whether its magical or full of zombies! I get to meet a lot of people, different personalities and characteristics. And I love it! <3 :)
