This is a stop motion puppet I made for my upcoming short film, The Burrow (based on the story of the same name by Franz Kafka). This stop motion puppet is far more simple and limited in functionality than the primary puppet in the film because of this character's limited role in the story. Later on, after the film is released, I'll create a visual step-by-step post showing how the primary puppet was made.
Basic Supplies:
Aluminum armature wire (for skeleton)
Hex nuts (for tie-down in heels and toes)
Epoxy putty (for creating joints)
Van Atken Clay (for flesh)
Thumbtacks (painted black for eyes)
Koto Polyclay (baked for skull base, nose, and nails)
Craft fur (for fur)
Floral tape (for ease of pasting material with rubber cement)
Cotton batting (for bulk)
