Another drone movie. This time it's focused on showing of the Finnish fall as you can see. I tried making this one a chill movie without too many crazy jump cuts. I recommend watching it on youtube because it is available to be watched in 4k 60fps. I'm actually quite impressed by the quality.
My own favorite scene is the tree shot around 1:01. What's yours?
Song: Eastern Odyssey - Fujiwhara Effect
What a wonderful view.
You should definitely consider posting to dtube with this content. A lot of people are supporting good - and short - videos over there. As you can tell, drone footage is hot right now and I know you will be a success if you can get over the technical hurdles.
I watched, liked, and subbed you over at yt. I'm interested in the building with the tree coming out of it stating at 2:20. Great job!
Thanks! And I do often post to Dtube but it seems to not have worked recently.
That is stunning! You are making all us Finns proud!

Wow, what a surprise! I have never seen over 600 votes on my post :D
Keep on making quality posts man! Love your drone videos! And congrats for the Curie vote! 😀
Thanks!
This video is money! Really beautiful. I think you killed it with the first shot. That's my favorite scene by far. Love the downward looking angle to start and finishing off with the reveal.
I just started a new curator account. I'm really trying to get #dronefeed set up as a top trending tag. I'm shocked about the lack of drone content on #steemit and I think we can change it. If you're interested in helping, let me know! For now I'll give you a follow and I'm looking forward to any other drone related content you have to share.
Thanks again for sharing!
I love how those fall colors from the trees are popping, its definitely a beautiful view. Your video is so well made, I had a great time watching it.
Why is that your favorite shot though, is it because of the sun shining through?
I think it's very calm and fits the music at that part :)
Ooh, that is so true...
Hey, @dromzz.
This a spectacular shot of trees in fall. I did like the solitary tree shot, but I think my favorite was of the small stand of trees that apparently towered over every thing else at around the 1:45 mark. Still, just amazing aerial views. What kind of a drone are you using here, and how do get to maintain altitude so well.
I've only flown smaller drones, and they get batted around by the wind way too much. :)
Congratulations on the curie, too. Very well done.
Thank you! I recently upgraded to a DJI Phantom 4 Advanced. It handles the wind quite well
Okay, so certainly not your lower end drone. I've heard of the Phantom, but this was probably two or three years ago. I have a couple different ones, but they're pretty small. Need something heftier, and before that, I need the cash and the justification. Christmas is coming up, but that doesn't quite make it happen. :)
How about no fly zones. Have you had any trouble with those in the areas you've tried to fly in?
I live in Finland and drone laws here are quite minimal. I have never really had a problem with no-fly zones. Once I almost flew over a police station but the flying app automatically stopped my drone from doing that :)
Automatically. Wow. I guess if that would have got you in trouble, that's a good thing.
So, no rules against flying drones in residential areas? I would think people would say it's a privacy issue. They would in the U.S., and frequently do. If they're not out with a gun to shoot one down. :) That to me is a little more dangerous than having a drone flying overhead, but I don't know if I want it hovering over my backyard, either.
Yes, it is completely legal to fly in residential areas as long as you can do it safely but it is recommended to fly in areas which you already know. Flying right next to someone's window would obviously be an privacy issue and wouldn't be allowed. These things also generate a big noise which might annoy people. Many things are legal but generally just not good things to do :)
You are allowed to move quite freely how you want outside in Finland and also do what ever you want :)
Great video! And the music is perfect for it - good choice! I like that you only made a bit over 2 minutes and you managed to show us beautiful scenes during this short time. I would pick the same scene like you as my favorite. I like the light on that tree.
Do you know the name of those golden trees? They are so pretty..
Thank you for sharing!
I think that drone videos should be kept quite short because they become boring really fast.
Most of those trees are probably birches. I shot those clips during golden hour and adjusted the colors hence why they look so golden :)
I agree on the tree shot. It's really beautiful.
I actually like the last minute the best. That shot of the golden tree tops overhead the green forest really stands out. Beautiful landscape well shot.

Absolutely beautiful, I love that golden color of the trees, also due to sun shining through them it makes them so outstanding on background of green. Obviously Autumn is on march, but this is one of seasons that has so colorful leaves too. I never thought that drone could fly so high, that is amazing and the quality, you are right is really good :)
howdy from Texas dromzz! Hey I thought this was a cool video, the views, scenery and music were all excellent! Where was this taken, I mean what country?
Finland :)
oh excellent, a beautiful country!
incredible as it looks the color of the trees, I think my favorite part is also yours, although it is difficult for me to choose one because I liked all the work quite a lot, it is nice to observe it again and again, nature is beautiful, thank you for registering and sharing it.
You have been scouted by @promo-mentors.

I thought there is a propeller sound on the background from the start until 0.20. Where you in a chopper when that part was shot?
I think I counted 4 cuts before the video hit 1:01 which may be the fifth. Don't you think those are too many cuts within a short period? I just thought that way...
How come the season suddenly changed to summer at 1:45? The area looks so dry?
Overall, you got a very good video there. I so love the color combination of gold and green on shots around 0:17 and 2:02. Amazing and striking colors!
I was using a flatter color profile while I recorded that shot. I didn't color correct it all the way hence why it looks "dry"
Oh... so you mean the area that looks dry is the more realistic as-seen shot? The "unprocessed" parts are astonishing so you must be very good with video editing then.
Basically all of the shots are realistic. That one place is naturally really dry which is why there aren't that many trees. But yes, in terms of video editing I would say that scene might be the most realistic one of these all. I appreciate your discussion btw :)
Anything special or anything wrong on that part as to why it is so dry like that? It looks like a barren land in the middle of healthy forest. I really thought it was shot during a different season that got lost on the video.
I actually made a post from that place recently https://steemit.com/forest/@dromzz/i-found-a-shelter-in-the-woods. They did cut away all the trees few years ago from this place and it's in a rocky scenery. This is why it's naturally more dry. That place is filled with pines which live in dry areas whereas the other shots are filled with spruces which live in damp areas.
And also that clip is from a different day and the lighting was a little different.
That explains it, thank you. And thank you for all your clarifications. It is just that your video is amazing that makes me so curious. 😊
