Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is an upcoming English-language French science fiction action-adventure film which will be released on this July. This film is based on the French science fiction comics series Valérian and Laureline.

Valerian and Laureline are 28th century special operatives who work together to maintain order throughout the human territories. Duo embarks on a mission to Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the universe. When a dark force threatens the peaceful city, Valerian and Laureline must race against time to identify the menace that also jeopardizes the future of the universe.
