Game of Thrones fans, your biggest fears have been confirmed. The hit fantasy series will not return for its six-episode final season until 2019, HBO has announced.
Directors for the new season are the show’s creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, as well as David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik. Writers include Benioff, Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill.
The eight and final instalment of the epic will also contain only six episodes for the plot to be tied together. Each episode might be more than an hour long—at least making the lengthy wait between now and 2019 feel slightly more worthwhile.
Sophie Turner, who plays ‘Sansa Stark’, accidentally let the date slip in an interview last year. The actress revealed the show would be airing in 2019.
There is no word yet about the exact premiere date so stay tuned
That's too long now .....
