RE: A Geeky Guy's Movie Guide to A Quiet Place (2018)

in #movie-review7 years ago

you know I'm a self-proclaimed cat with fear. Seriously, I'm the biggest coward in the world when it comes to watching scary movies. A horror film must be very special to motivate me to fight through my irrational fears.

I like that you are brave to mention it and to accept it, it speaks very well of you... even if you run away (that is sometimes necessary)

It also makes the father in this movie my hero. Don't get me wrong, the mother is totally bad and they raised two very strong children... but the father was special. While Wonder was an ode to the superhuman strength of mothers, A Quiet Place is a dark fairy tale of fatherly love, strength and the desire to raise the survivors.

Last week I could read about Wonder and I was quite attracted by the whole plot, now you tell me about A Quiet Place and I am still very excited, in my country we have restrictions of all kinds and it has been difficult for me for one reason or another to see it, but you put so much passion into it, that definitely this film is for me, besides, I want to see a great father, even if it is in fiction!
Excuse my English, I use a translator.
