Odessa Alexander Bleschunov was born and raised in the glorious Odessa. He passed a very thorny path of life and was a great and extraordinary man. In 1939 he graduated from the Odessa Institute of water transport and received a degree in engineering.

In 1936, Alexander opens the first section of mountaineering. Until 1941 he was Chairman of the section. Then war...

But the mountains, the height-it was a big part of his life... But after the war, his homeland called him to build large research facilities:

•  Scientific laboratory was built on mount Aragats in Armenia in the most difficult conditions
• This was followed by an expedition to Mongolia in 1950-51
• Then construction of electronic ring amplifier in Armenia
• Then Alexander returned to Odessa and leads to retirement of the research laboratory of the Institute of refrigeration

Since 1946, Alexander Vladimirovich Bleshchunov resumes the direction of mountaineering in Odessa and 30 years heads and teaches young people of Odessa

For all the activities in the sport he cultivated a worthy generation of disciples, of which:

• dozens of mountaineering instructors
• 70 masters of sports
• more than 30 candidates
• thousands of dischargers...

Alexander Vladimirovich Bleshunov was always surrounded by creative youth, he put his heart into their training. 

But this Odessa is famous for the fact that he was an avid collector of applied art

On the street Polish, 19 is a Museum, which presents a lifetime collection (about 10,000 exhibits)

 These are 10 small rooms in the former communal apartment, where the family of Alexander Vladimirovich lived. He bequeathed everything to Odessa. Very interesting Museum, I will introduce you to it

Thanks to such great people as Alexander Vladimirovich in Odessa is very developed mountaineering, climbing and ice climbing. Odessa athletes take the first places in Ukraine.   Eugene Krivosheyev medalist at the World Championships in rock climbing. In 2002 Evgeny became the first world champion in ice climbing. In South Palmyra operates alpclub "Odessa".  It's not the only club. There are a lot of sections for children, for example, climbing wall "Sherlock" and others. In many walking parks in Odessa necessarily is a small climbing wall.
