'Grey Skies and Tree Whispers'

crta.png

A sad cold day with no sunshine is ahead of me. The grey skies took over. This is way more the winter that we are used to seeing, than the beautiful spring-like weather we've had so far. Cold days on the road is why one needs winter gear in place for the season. Without being properly dressed, better forget about winter riding.

The road is still dry and not covered with thin layers of salt. When that starts happening, I park the motorcycle in the garage and wait for the spring rains to wash it out. Salt is bad for the bike. Well, it is possible to ride but it requires washing the bike after each ride. Too much of a hassle and too few of the time.

This looks like a tourist hiking trail. Wide and clear enough to see what's further down. I carefully avoid the hikers, as I ride through them. Their looks are not far from accusing me of being noisy in the middle of silent woods. My bike is not really noisy at all. I never removed the standard fully silenced mufflers but I understand that its low-city noise sounds like fireworks out here.

The fresh air carries a scent of winter. That specific one which immediately lets you know that winter is around the corner or has already arrived without a prior notice. The never breaking circle of seasons. Still, the leaves on the ground and green ivy still speak of autumn.

Even though there is no snow, one can feel that nature is sleeping. I can almost hear the trees breathing over me while sleeping and dreaming their winter dreams of coming spring. Wonder if they like the snowless winters like this one. I do, as far as motorcycling goes. In a real winter, it is easy to expect 3-4 feet of snow here. So... No further explanation needed. :D

This is a mountain trail sign. From this moment on, I am officially a biker-hiker. :D

Enjoy your day! :-)

Wow great pics @velimir. Its full of natural beauty and fresh air. The second pic you took reminds me of a pic you posted in one of your post a while back about hills and bends, i dont know if you remember.
The Second to last pic also reminds me of an opening scene in one of the Resident Evils. I just can't ignore the thought of it every time I look at the picture.
Filmaker :) this location sure would be the perfect place to shoot a nice movie.
I love it when i see people taking a walk in such location, its one of the most enjoyable activities around that can reduce stress and depression, ease muscle tension, even calm an erratic heart.
The atmosphere alone of the sleeping trees can have a healing effect. You know when you live in the core city, you forget such places exist.
Great writing. Beautiful piece.

Brilliant @georgechuks. Bringing some memories right back mentioning that game.
I will always remember showing my pops the zombie munching mateys head off at the beginning of the first Res Evil.

a very enjoyable trip to ride his own motorcycle

Just like the post i read not to long .why is it that bikes of this nature are not cool biking on road especially when these roads ain't encouraging to bike on and the answer was its hard to to clean up those hidden area of the bike which most functional engines lies,so i presume biking during winter is damn pathetic because you got stucked up and hsd to do much more maintenace. Its cool you had a good ride a proof from the pics .THANKS FOR SHARING A LIFE WITH YOUR BIKE

It's a very good expression. You like the engine

Biker Hiker. I like it.

A friend and I spent many pleasant hours on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. One time he decided he could ride a trials bike down the Bright Angel Trail. He never did it, but he contemplated that ride for the rest of his days.

I've missed a couple of days with the flu. It's really good to come back to good stuff like this!

it's a beautiful photo. I also have my own motorcycle. I love using it in my travel. it's an enjoyable ride...

The road is still dry and not covered with thin layers of salt. When that starts happening, I park the motorcycle in the garage and wait for the spring rains to wash it out. Salt is bad for the bike.

Salt is detrimental to a bike as it most times lead to rust which facilitates reduction of its life span via spoilage.

I indeed love this final point, have fun and enjoy @valimir the biker-hiker friend of mine

Keep going and never stop and also take care of your health because in travelling sometime conditions goes bad. So do care of yourself also while travelling.

I thought this story was about motorcycle race.

Again an amazing share. I can give everything for this bike.
These bikes are definitely works of art.
I would like to tour the Western America with this group.
@velimir Thanks for the great post.

for all the time that I read your blog, I'm probably the first to see you have such a cloudy weather. (maybe I'm wrong). Now what I see in you - like what I see every day at home :)
I always wondered how loud the exhaust of your motorcycle, now I know the answer. I do not like that individual bikers deliberately make the sound of the exhaust very loud. Living in a small city, it can be deafening.
The photographs clearly show the arrival of winter. This is due to the mellow leaves. But nevertheless, we see traces of the struggle - some green leaves remind us of this. It seems that not all plants and trees have taken autumn and prepared for winter. :)
Have a nice day

Probably where there are still many places needed by tree trees, where our place is full of trees dudah no longer have made a variety. Same with roads are also much damaged and belobang. Seeing the post you want to get there.

Traveling is your passion @velimir and you are enjoying every bit of it.
keep doing it.
