The Gremlin Bell

Almost every biker will have one, somewhere tucked away on the bike. The Gremlin Bell is a superstitious little guy intended to keep the road gremlins off your back, hence the name.

One simple rule to follow;

You can't buy your own, someone has to give it to you.

I always get a kick out of finding them and the most bad ass biker having a little bell on his bike is hilarious.

Hi @oldschoolrepair. Interesting with the Gremlin Bell. I wonder if @headchange has one on her Harley. We recently met and she's a swell gal. I believe she mentioned owning a Shadow before (sorry, no idea about bikes). You should keep an eye on a future post of hers. She's thinking of writing about her interest in welding while keeping her Mannie in pristine girly condition. :)

I wanted to stop by and thank you for your support. I know @doomsdaychassis talked about me behind my back the last time I visited your blog. I just haven't had a chance to get back to that chat. Something about a nagging internet wife or helicopter mom.

I did send him this giphy on Discord after I read his comment. His wife must be quite a gal to put up with him daily.

You see what i have done to myself. I somehow acquired a second wife. At least I am the only one she is mean to so that means she cares right? Lol.

Just make sure to keep your real wife happy by giving your baby girl all those dance lessons that costs you an arm and a leg. Then she won't smack you like above. :)

Oh for sure. my youngest went to dance competition at 6:30 on saturday and took home 2nd in here duet for ages 6 to 9 .Then left straight back to the dance studio for practice from 10 to 1. She has my drive so that is good.

You must be a proud pappy. That dedicated at her young age, wow. I am going to be in trouble when my lil ones grow up. I can't even keep up with them right now. I'll have to start saving for some music lessons. I think my Dennis the Menace has an interest in music. How are we supposed to pay for everything when we plan on being MIA from here most of the time??! Seriously, my childhood consisted of playing soccer on the side yard with the guys. Those activities were free!

I know right? Everyone told us not to get them electronics when they were little but i was like hell naw. We got reading eggs and a bunch of other stuff on the I pads and they were both reading and doing math in preschool. They are both reading way above their grade level and my oldest is in second grade and we are now doing multiplication and fractions with her. The oldest is a real book worm. She is reading books with over 300 pages in freaking second grade. I was still eating dirt and glue in second grade. WTF?

What are they teaching in grade school these days, shesh, didn't we learn multiplication and fractions in like 4th grade or something? I can't remember, that was ages ago. I will find out in a couple years. What are reading eggs? I was told the same about electronics and I try to be a good parent...yeah..my son is an ipad expert user. My baby girl is just learning to crawl and guess what she chooses to crawl too? Not mommy, but to mommy's cell phone.

I am heading home to them now. Why was Monday ever created. Don't overwork yourself now.

Well that sure does explain a lot. Going forward all mishaps will be blamed on the lack of a bell. Surely I can con someone into gifting us one.
I was joking about that welding post I once caught my hair on fire. So yeah best not attempt to show off the nails and work a selfie stick. You are asking for disaster on that one.
Gotta find me a bell for sure...

I would happily gift you a bell if you lived anywhere near me. And NO mishaps. I think that welding post would make a killing. If a cookie post could rake in $300+ sbds, I am sure welding with perfectly manicured fingers would at least earn $400+.

Btw, I saw your pay it forward post and stopped there to show my support. That's great that you're participating in that contest. I never seem to have the time.

Sadly true , never mind I stuck a floor pan in an old Chevy and it didn't fall out. Now THAT I was proud of. If only I could work in a cat meme ..
Thank you so much! I came home Sat to a bunch of gina notifications. That never happens for me. That was a super fun contest for a great cause. It did take a lot of time though. Silly me thought I was going to go visit everybodys entries. Yeah right.
I have been meaning to say thanks for helping me find new people. I am collecting a few blogs like this. It is hubby bait. He needs to be here he just don't know it yet.

I don't like to mention tag, but I do so to direct some people with shared interests together. Especially if they are good people. Dooms above is another one, but he'll be MIA trying to earn the moola to pay for his fab daughter's dance lessons.

Of course, there are many other pretenders good ones too. I won't bother tagging anyone on those.

I've been so busy myself that I shut down discord lately. Gina keeps piling up, but I don't even have a spare second to check. It's usually a choice between commenting, writing a post, or peruse. Some days, I pick sleep over it all.

Tell hubby to come onboard so he can upvote you with his penny worth. It will grow to surpass the dust threshold one day. You'll just have to hold his hand and MAKE him continue to blog until that day is reached.

Have a great day. I am going home to my family and leaving the steemit world in my peripheral vision for now.:)

Well you are the kind of person who can take a break and still be remembered. See you're just that good.
Actually your buddy Dooms gave me a few names to use for hubbie bait when I first arrived here.
I am starting to think I would have to ghost write for him. Who has time for that? Besides I don't speak car.
You sound like you are needing some R&R. Look at the bright side SP builds back up when you sleep.

Shadows are Honda. Good solid little bikes, they don't have the rumble of the Harley with their single pin cranks though...

I think I like less rumble. Not sure how headchange not mind all that noise. I think I'm too prissy of a girl. :)

Oh the rumble is the good part lol. The Shadow was smaller. I cant hold the Harley up. I just hang on the back. I don't have my licence yet anyway, maybe next summer.

Lots of summer this summer! Go get it!!! 😁

That's what he said 😐 Buying another bike this year would cut into my crypto shopping. I still need more bitcoin. some litecoin, ethereum, maybe some steem.... Yeah best wait a girls gotta shop💲

Can't fault you there. I'm thinking pretty hard about selling some bikes for more crypto. It is addictive...

I have never heard of that. Maybe that is why my interceptor broke down on its maiden voyage. lol

Well the mystery is solved on your bike....for now!

I I have never seen them. I am going to have to start looking at bikes more closely. That's really funny.

Have you ever owned a chopper?

My bike is a chopped 1984 FXST right now. Kickstart only Harley. 1340cc... She's a real pig to get going... probably going to sell it.

Nice, what would you get next if dumped it?

Eventually another chopper, but with electric start. I have a couple early 70's Hondas that would make cool choppers. I'll probably build one.

that is very cool that you can build your own ... remember to post pic if you proceed w/it! I would love to see it

How about the cycle bell used in the motorcycle hahaha?
