Evening.

I had a couple of small parts to paint today, for the tzr 125, and went full rattle can instead of paint gun.
That gave me the chance to also enjoy the heatwave and sunshine. (30c)
It is pricey getting paint made in a can to match a specific Yamaha code or any manufacturer, but it saved a few hours of mixing paint and cleaning paint guns.

The other small parts are for inside the fairing.

I will leave that lot overnight to fully set.

So it was onto a seat unit for the rd 50 m, I am leaving the red in some parts via masking off sections to match the pattern on the fuel tank. So it was strip the seat unit down time.

I have spent the evening flatting the red to remove the lacquer so after it is painted white and the parts I mask off are still red, both coats get an even coat of 2k lacquer with no worries about paint height difference,

I use this for the straight edge before masking, as masking tape edges are never straight due to the weakness of the material.

If you look at the project, just imagine the seat finished in white with red cubes getting bigger towards the back then you have the correct idea.

Having given it a light sand just, I can now measure out the blocks spacing and design my soon to be finished product.

This is going to take a few hours.
