Max Anstie showed some real fighting grit and shot out of the gate in race 2! He showed some speed in the practice sessions with a 12th and 16th but whatever changes he made throughout the day really came into effect! Check the reaction time as the gate drops! wow. That start earned him a well deserved 3rd for the day.

I can do that... it doesn't look so fast :) i hear this a lot... and to be completely honest i 'sometimes' have thought this myself... Stupidly i might add haha.
Lets check out what a fast but normal rider looks like around this track. Now I'm not picking this guy out because he is slow, he is not! I'm giving contrast to the speed of the world class guys! When you put things in context these guys are off the hook!

Those go-pro videos are amazing.
It is great to watch the POV of the person. At each bump and rut a sense of anticipation and weariness hits me haha.
It certainly shows the sport better, when you watch by the sidelines it looks a lot slower... when you see from the riders eyes its not so easy is it :)

Hahahaha, I have been riding since I can walk and am also a qualified bike mechanic believe it or not so I have a few bikes. Ya jumping off the roof is not as fun as a table top, besides the rebound and damping on my knees is shot so I decided not to.

You need to pick up some mechanical skills in this sport otherwise your wallet empties quick! There are still a few jobs though that are left to the real pros like you though :) especially when it comes to 4-bangers :)
