WHO IS SUPPORTING YOUR VISION?

in #motivation6 years ago

The ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom is VISION. It is a mental image of what the future will or could be like.

In our schools, while growing up, we have passed through the stage where we were asked or told to write on what we would like to become in future. Very many of us aspired to be Engineers, Doctors, Pharmacists, Accountants, Teachers amongst other professions but it's quite unfortunate majority didn't end up being one, for so many obvious reasons.

The major discouraging factors are failure and financial constraints. Writing exams many times without reaching the bench mark can be overwhelming, especially when you don't have someone to encourage you, that you may have failed, but it doesn't make you a failure. And having that person to stand by you promising to help you actualise your dream, can make you settle for less or what you do not bargain for.

I am not writing that, it's only professional courses that can make your vision come through in life. My point is people surrounding/supporting you have a way of making your vision come into existence. Their reaction either positive or negative towards it, is also a factor that encourages you in bringing your vision into existence.

It's motivating to know the tide has changed now. Before no parent, guardians, relatives or friends would genuinely congratulate you for studying some nonprofessional courses like music or Agricultural related courses. This has a way of killing a child's morale. You see people gaining admission and still looking for a way to opt out for some so called professional courses.

A lot of people who could have been a renowned fashion designers, musicians, hair stylists, photographers, even though these revolves round passion but some were discouraged because those who are supposed to support their visions never understood what it was all about.

Financial constraint is another factor that can hinder one's vision. Many people couldn't birth their vision because the necessary resources needed were not available. And those surrounding them are not even financially rooted enough to back them up.

Well, we may have written off our vision thinking it is too late to be that which we have always wanted to be; some dont even know how close or far they are to or from their dreams.

My words of encouragement is "Vision without action is merely a dream". Hold on to your vision today , and trust the process, and see what you make out of yourself in few years time.
