Many of us want to be like others. We want to please everybody. But the question is, "who has ever lived up pleasing everybody."
Often, troubles and sorrows occur when we wake up one day and realize that we are not living our dreams and purposes but are instead trying to please our parents, our spouse, our children or our friends.
Human beings generally are insatiable. The more you try to please them, the more you appear to offend good numbers of them. This, of course, is very discouraging. It can cause you pain and depression, especially, when you're trying to please them to your own detriment. Why cause yourself depression because of others?
Live your life in your own way. Your life is yours; you are the only creator or destroyer, nobody else. If you have to set limits or disengage with certain negative influences in your life, so be it.
Develop the courage to follow your personal lodestar as that has a way of lifting your spirits and reducing the feelings of being trapped and stuck.
Always do your best to help people that come your way, but remember, you cannot please everybody.
As a matter of fact we don't need to try to please anyone. That'll make your life suicidal for your never going to be content with what God has given to you. Your life is going to e a mere competition without a goal.
I agree with you, unfortunately people these days tend to live their lives in a manner attempting to please people all the time. Instead we should work on ourselves to get better in life then the value we have created and invested in then draws people to us.
