Nice piece. The only little hitch is that the society is the principal determinant of what is right or wrong. What is wrong today because a relevant percentage society doesn't accept it could, through some sort of evolution, in the next two or three decades become acceptable.
Right and/or wrong varies from society to society...
You are right, our behaviours are shaped by the various kinds of society we found ourselves. But notwithstanding, we can change our behaviours and do the right thing at the right time and also be an agent of change in any society we found ourselves. If you find yourselve in a society where they do the wrong thing, you can stand out among them and always do the right thing.
For instance, Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan who fight for women education in her country despite Pakistan does not belief in woman education. She is now a nobel price winner.
