"I have told you times without number to desist from this practice of dating more than one guy at the same time but you have refused to listen."
Ruth went on trying to tell Benny the truth. Benny wasn't coming clean with admitting it but being close friends, Ruth knew she was at it again.

Benny was looking for a way to cover it up since she was good at lying but this time Ruth had found out again.
"Please snap out of that jor"
Benny said. "Anyway I just have to double date, just in case one of them ends up disappointing me in the end, I won't be left boy-friendless. That was what happened to poor Trisha. If she had taken my advise she won't have been in the sorry state she's in now."
There is a pathway that seems right to a man, but in the end it’s a road to death.
Proverbs 14:12 (ISV)
Benny went on, indirectly telling Ruth to get ready for the worst just in case Richard (Ruth's fiance') changed his mind about his commitment to her.
Ruth, however, was not moved. She knew that Benny's statements were indirectly aimed at her but she cared less because she knew Richard wasn't like any other guy.
Richard was tailor-made for her in every respect; the kind of guy who knew what he wanted and went for it after giving it time, a period of friendship, before binding himself with a commitment.
Ruth had nothing to worry herself about and even if for some reason that came out of the blues, she and Richard didn't end up as man and wife, she knew her worth and believed that someone even better will take her to be his wife.
That wasn't the case for Benny. Ruth's confidence and strong hope was strange to her. She saw no reason why someone would be so certain. For Benny, she thought that the best way to get a man was to have as many as possible.
Matters such as knowing her worth, adding value to herself, developing her personality and character were not as important to her as having a few guys as backup plans just in case things don't work out with A, B or even C as she might have expected.
As far as she was concerned this was the wise route to take. She even claimed she had seen and heard it work for many other ladies and saw no reason why she should be left out.
It's not new and not even viewed as wrong nowadays when one double dates. As a matter of fact, terms used such as side chicks for the guys and aristos, sugar daddy or side boo for the ladies are everywhere.
Do we accept this trend or do we speak against it? I know some might say it's all up to whoever wants to choose such a lifestyle, after all they know what it entails. But look at it as if you were the other person being cheated upon. How would you feel? Certainly you wouldn't want that to happen to you, so, why make it happen to the other person?
True love stands for genuine love between a guy and a lady, between one man and one woman. There are no hidden shades or hypocrisies in true love. This has been God's design right from the beginning of creation.
A man is to share the emotional commitment and devotion of his love with just one woman and vice versa. Anything beyond this is emotional adultery even before the act of fornication or adultery is committed.
Anything outside one man and one woman committed to each other at a given time, is an aberration and isn't right. Such a thing is even shameful no matter how widely accepted it has become.

As it is written, many a way seems good and pleasant to a man but it's end is destruction. Why should you die before your time? No one in their right mind will stand in the way of a moving train and allow themselves to be crushed to death, but people do this when they make such emotional blunders.
Don't just do what seems right; do what is right. God's Word - the Bible - tells what is right and what is not. You can make the right decisions today. You don't have to live with regrets upon regrets.
Do not be among those who will later say "Oh, had I known!". Now you know. This is the time to turn a new leaf. To you who, just like Ruth, have kept all your eggs in one basket, be encouraged. Never throw away your confidence. Even if it feels as if nothing spectacular seems to be happening; even if it seems as if all is not pleasant now, I assure you that you're on the right track. Keep being right. Keep standing as a shinning light in a dark world. Soon you shall be celebrated in grand style.

I hope someone gets the gist of this wonderful write up. Thanks for sharing @lovejunkie
I hope so too. Thanks for your comment @mattyabo
Thanks for this....
And you're very right..... No one sees it as a big deal anymore when one double dates....
To me, I feel it's because ladies are sometimes not satisfied with who they have and just like in economics, we are taught that "the human wants are insatiable "....
All together, it' takes discipline and self control to stick and stay faithful to one person...
God help us all...
You are right dear @kingernie, it also takes the knowledge of repercussion to stick to one partner.
I think it will be draining for anyone to double date cos you'll need to keep lying to cover up your deeds to as many other side chics or guys you have.
It is only a matter of time before you're found out cos for no matter how long you live a lie, the truth will catch up with you someday.
Great job @thelovejunkie
Exactly sis @evashinen. Thanks for your comment.
Nice story necessary to be shared to all Babymamas and people that place no importance to be faithful to one person. I was watching a movie with a girl once, the girl in the film was fiddling around with guys. Because of my personality, the film was annoying.
When I voice out my thought, the girl I was watching the moving saw nothing wrong with it. She said she sometimes does it if her boyfriend is far, and she believed her boyfriend also does that.
The point I made clear to her is, there is no point been in relationship with no trust and commitment.
Wow! Can you imagine @pjunlimited Thanks for making that point clear to her and the funny thing is when they are about to settle down, the would want someone to be faithful to them.
Alot of people should be glued to your blog
I believe the men read this part😁
Thank you ma, more wisdom mummy!!
Thanks @adejoke16 dear. Oh yeah, many feel there's no such thing as emotional adultery but it has led to breakups and divorces subtly.
Well,I wonder how some folks cope with this double dating thing. It takes so much to keep one relationship not to talk of two.
Like you said, people of double standards never experience happiness. To be happy,we need to be committed to just one partner.
Thanks for sharing my #steemitlovedoctor
