Action, The Cure to the social media illness

in #motivation7 years ago

It’s safe to say that a lot of us are bombarded. We go on our phone, TV, or computer, and from the moment we get on, we’re bombarded with images, and videos showing us that were not good enough, not lean enough, not pretty enough, now awesome enough etc. This list could go on and on. Part of the reason I moved to steemit is that everyone is involved with each other. It wasn’t a narcissistic “look at me” type of thing, as is the problem with a lot of social media.

A lot of the times I talk to my friends, and they tell me how bored or sad they are. Yet on social media it looks as if they live such happy, great lives overall. I ask them as to why they feel that way, and though the reasons can vary, I notice that social media always playing a role. They feel as if there not good enough or living the life that’s being shown to them. Social media is playing a distorting role

The funny thing I notice is that a lot of people forget is that social media was made to show the BEST, not the WORST. If the worst is shown its either ignored or played up for some drama. The worst, the stuff that can truly make us strong, and that’s rarely shown. We don’t see the failures, breakups, sacrifice involved in these posts. That’s what makes us human

A lot of people want a great life, but just don’t know how to exactly achieve it. Well here is the way and how. Action. people are scared or confused on how to take action. That fear of failure, and the aspect of time scares them. Here’s another funny thing, That’s the cure to all of this!

Once action is taken motivation follows, then we have a goal or purpose to strive for. Suddenly we stop focusing on others lives, and we focus on our own. We want to start sharing our purpose, and our goals, so we can help lift others up. Not only making us happier but also making us happier! Motivation always follows action, rarely the other way around.

I’m here to act, thrive, and become the best version of myself possible. Just reading a few articles, I also see others doing the same. This is a place to act. That’s what separates the weak from the strong. It inspires me here to see others acting and doing the same. What are some your goals for the year or your life? How should we lead and inspired others to do the same? Let me know in the comments!
