Two observations:

Whales have the greatest power,

I thought so too; until, recently I observed that the most powerful; and equally detrimental creature in the crypto ‘ocean’ is the SHARK. I will leave it to your musing to know why.

However, because this platform has more whales than sharks, ultimately, your statement reigns true. But, if allowed to multiply, sharks could destroy the Whales; and thus, the community as a whole.

Inspiration starts with enthusiasm,

Vital to inspiration is a well-oiled machine. Enthusiasm becomes distracted when exchanges, not ready for prime time, ‘invite’ /welcome new users to make deposits; then prove unable to meet the demand, affecting earnings.
