As long as you live, you cannot run away from change because they are among the inevitables of life, and it is constant. However, a lot of times, changes can also bring uncertainties and the feeling of trying to venture into the unknown, but it can also become a fuel for growth. I have come to understand that without taking steps in the line of fear and embracing changes as they come, then growth may not be possible. It may be very challenging to welcome the unknown and to try out what you have not done before, but it may be what is holding the key to your breakthrough. Without change, a lot of things may not be possible, so try to welcome it.
One of the things that I have discovered about life is that, when a lot of people are faced with change, they naturally resort to fear as a way to shield them from what they perceive as threats, but what they do not know is that it is also limiting their advancements and their growth. Instead of tilting towards fears as a limiting factor, it will be better to turn it into the fuel for growth by taking steps in the line of what scares you. For the fact that you are scared of that step could show that there is something in it for you, so do not back out. Just to let you know, a lot of what you fear are just products of your assumptions - things that may never even come to actualization. This is why you should not let fear hold you down.
One of the ways by which you can turn your fears into the fuel to power your growth is by changing your mindset to begin to see things that happen in positive light. For example; instead of seeing uncertainties as barriers, rather see them as opportunities to do something great. Of course, whatever happens teaches life's lessons, and by applying these lessons, you will become better. Each time you want to take a step towards your dream or an idea, always focus more on the potential results that you stand to gain, so that it will motivate you to take the step, do not focus on what may go wrong.
If you are driving through a smooth tarred road in the hot afternoon, there is a phenomenon that normally occurs as you drive - you will perceive a pool of water ahead of you on the road, but as you drive closer, the pool either keeps drawing backwards or disappears completely. In physics this is known as "mirage," which is simply an illusion of what is not real - which is caused by the refraction of light rays. In life, the fear that you perceive is just like the mirage. You may think it exists, but as you take a step towards it, you will discover that you have been scared of something nonexistent because the fear would have fizzled out. Most fears are resident on the mind. As you realign and condition your mind to think positively, you will begin to dare the incredible.
Any step you take towards what you fear the most will keep your fears at bay. In fact, the cure to fear is by taking actions - steps, risks, making a move. You cannot sit one place and hope for your fear to leave you. You have to take a step to turn it to motivation. The truth is that the path you are scared the most to tread on might be the same path that should lead you to the treasures that you desire. Actions are necessary to achieve your desired goals. There are times when the step you may want to take might look bigger than what you can take, what you need to do is to break it into micro-steps and then take them one at a time.
It is worthy to note that changes happen daily, but it is what you make of it that will determine the effects that they will have on you. The same thing that happens to someone might also happen to someone else in the same manner, yet they will have different results. This is simply because of the way and manner they respond to it. In life, it is not always what happens to you or the uncertainties and changes of life that determine what becomes of you, but it is how you have embraced them or responded to them. As changes come, be open-minded to embrace them as something positive and you will see yourself naturally taking positive steps towards them.
