The Motivational Story of Miss Wheelchair India 2014

in #motivation7 years ago

I was off to present a paper at a conference in Chennai being one of the toppers in my BDS Exam. The driver dozed off and rammed the car into a truck. when I woke up, I knew I had become a paraplegic.

It was a tough time to accept the wheelchair. But with time, I realized without it I will forever remain stuck in one place — as it holds my freedom, my freedom to move!! This incident, however, didn’t stop me from pursuing my dreams of dentistry. I fought a legal battle to gain acceptance in the university of my choice. With the wheels on, I topped to be a Gold Medalist in my MDS exams. I didn’t stop here as with my love for fashion & modeling, I took part and became the Miss Wheelchair India 2014.

Today, I have my own Dental Clinic, started a Foundation and an Assistant professor in a dental college. I love to drive my hand driven car and wish to drive to all the capital cities of India. I have traveled around 10 countries on wheels.
Life is all about creating, exploring and make it happening with whatever you have!
