AVOIDING "THE HAGAR OPTION" - A RANDOM RAMBLE FROM PAPA-PEPPER

in #motivation6 years ago

Sometimes, it is best to just wait.

Once, a promise was made to a man named Abram and his wife Sarai. Eventually, they got tired of waiting on God and came up with another plan. While their plan may have "worked" to a certain degree, it did not negate the promise of God and eventually the promise that He made was fulfilled. However, because Abram and Sarai tried to do things their own way, it messed a lot of things up.

While @mama-pepper and I have no "promise" pertaining to certain things, we believe that God has revealed some truth to mankind, and if we obey what He says, it'll work out better than whatever we come up with on our own. It's tough, but it has better results. I share a bit about it all in this vlog, so hopefully there is something that you can take away from it to apply to your own life. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing @papa-pepper ....As I was listening the following verse popped into mind!

Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

AMEN TO THAT!

Usury is lawless tyranny. The only debt a man should ever have to pay to another man is to love him.

Nice! Fully agree.

Pastor Rod Parsley went on a rant about Usury back in 2005 talking about our national debt back when it was around 5 or 6 trillion. He recited the Bible verse where it says that about debt and that the only debt another man should owe another man is to love him.

It's always a way. Enjoy your new home!...:)...

Thanks! Sounds like it is in place now!

Hmm God promise always the best believe in God and anything he promise to do he will surely do it thank God for your life @papa-pepper

something done with perseverance and sincerity, will get tremendous results. God knows better what is best for his servant.

Amen to that!

Hummm really gain from this @papa-pepper thanks for sharing this I'm really touched with this video all glory to be to God I pray God promise over our life will surely come to pass

Very true sir.
One must have a listening ear and wait upon the lord. patience is the key to all.
The fact that good result isnt seen today doesnt mean that there wont be a positive result tomorrow.
This is inspiring @paper-pepper

Well said. Thank you for that!

God plan is the best for us, what he said he will do, anything will believe on God for he will always do it, how is your day papa still expecting your message sir

There is no cover for a good work. Splendid reward waits you

Well written and said, brother. Here's the passage that keeps hitting me square between the eyes the past couple of weeks:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." --Philippians 4:8

Excellent! Do just that!

God Bless you @papa-pepper. You are so right. So many people owe more than they make.
Congrats on your new home.
Keep on Steeming .

the Hagar option often works, but sadly takes one's peace of mind away. As the scriptures says, "He will keep in perfect peace, those whose hearts are stayed on Him!" And thanks for letting us know the channel through which God made your dream come through - Steemit! That was motivational for me! thank you

Yeah, for us, God used steemit! Thanks @popet!

you're welcome!

Great post... debt is how the earthly powers keep us in check.

My husband and I believed in the same system. Pay cash only for purchases and don't borrow. It took us a little longer to get our land here, three years to be exact. Then another two to start building the house. It is still not totally finished. But it is livable. My husband passed away almost three years ago and I am still working on our dream and keeping to the principle that I continue building out of pocket. Early in our marriage, we tried the Hagar solution but it did not turn out as well as we had anticipated. So we steered away from those kinds of decisions.

Your deam will soon come true @cecicastor . For " He who began a good work in you shall be faithful to complete it..." Bible

It can be really difficult not to choose other options when things seem to take too long. There are a lot more waiting periods than we would like (at least more than I would like). Normally things work out better if we just wait and don't try to rush things when we know we're supposed to be patient.

Since you mentioned usury, I thought you might like these recent posts (a week old) by @protegeaa where he talked about it. Interesting stuff!

Well, everyone always says that God has a plan for everything and everyone, so all I can do hope is that it's a good one, right?

To my knowledge there are no promises in place between him and me, so I assume that unless told otherwise, everything I do proactively happens with his blessing in some way or form. We are made in his image after all, so we all do carry the divinity that is him as a guide in us.

Or so they say.

It is in our nature to want to plow though. We all find it hard to listen to the still small voice!

I think that us why GOD made fishing, LOL!

:)

Good thoughts... My gears are turning!
