Luck is always excluded when accounting for one's success. Society tends to have a negative bias towards people that purely get lucky in possessing wealth especially inheritance. They tend to forget that even in hard work, it's luck that gets you through. Luck and hard work move hand in hand to result into success; luck being the product of hard work.
Deciding to believe in luck alone to give you success is more like a lottery which has high chances of losing than winning. It's a deadly way to play and can result in a long miserable life.
