What you see is not always what you get. 'Corporate Identity' is the term that marketing and advertising companies use to describe house style designs and logo’s that present a company. The created visuals that give identity and image to an organization or a business body. While that is an outward appearance that communicates the mission or vision, a hidden agenda can be active behind the scenes. So, what you see does not always represent what you get. Now I am not promoting conspiracy theories here, but in the case of the well known internet social network giants, their presentation suggests a focus on community, while IMHO their energy and marketing is really focused on serving advertisers and pleasing big centralized organizations. These multinationals are able to manipulate the markets and their audience. For good or bad.
But a corporation in itself is not a community and an organization is not the same as an organism. You see, technology has brought us very far through the years since the start of the world wide web, but when push comes to shove, internet users can feel pretty lonely and exploited. Nobody likes being taken advantage of, especially when you have something positive to give and some love to share. Through the years I noticed that the big social media networks are in a position to manipulate the internet traffic and your freedom of speech by their rules, regulations and interceptions. Perhaps afraid of spam, haters, or losing control of the system? I don’t know, but these major corporations suggest a sense of community, while not necessarily supporting or rewarding their subscribed community members.
This is why I fell for the concept of Steemit, this decentralized blockchain based social network that I am now part of. Not only freedom of speech and presentation is welcomed, but Steemit users can also share in the financial rewards for their input and upvote each other’s posts. What more of a community feel and human relations experience do we want? I stopped listening to the negativism of haters and followed through in my search for freedom. It is interesting to see how these growing decentralized blockchain communities experience a release and a chance of a lifetime, since the introduction of cryptocurrency broke the fiat currency frustration. Steemit brings freedom seekers and freedom lovers together like never before. I hope that we will have the time of our lives breaking the bondages that have kept us from success, one way or another. ‘Cause freedom is what we need.
Thank you for your encouragement and upvote.
Happy Steeming my friends!
John
