The book of the law is something we all are familiar with. The Bible has been known to be one of the most correct books that seems to update itself every time and on every issue that live has been known to be a part of.
I particularly like this quote because it is an instruction that came with a promise that only becomes available when you as the individual follows through with the laid down steps and guide therein.
When Joshua received his commission, he was promised prosperity and a better life, but then there was a catch. Keep the book, Don't let it depart, Meditate day and night, and Do! I call it the ultimate KDMD.
Prosperity promised, comes burdened with a DO. Whatever the source of your promised prosperity and wealth, there are instructions that must be followed to the letter, and this quote is one sure way to go with life.
I know it can be difficult if not impossible to follow through with instructions, but it is clear that those who learn to listen and follow instructions always end up doing some good with themselves.
My question now is, do you have a book of the law that guides you?
The book of the law be it the Bible, Quran, a personal guide book, or even a dear diary is what guides an individual in his daily endeavor and for Nations, the Constitution is their book of the law.
What book are you using as a guide for your life? What do you hold dear to your heart that you can and will be able to say makes you stand out?
Life is a journey and to be able to navigate it, you need a guide and that guide can be the book or your book. Life without a guide is life in trouble.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth...
Make the world a better place for someone today!
The book of Joshua makes a christian understand the importance of obedience which is lacking a lot in the present society . I pray God help us. Nice post.
Very nice and meaningful post. Yes, the Bible is my guide book and I do my best to follow its' instructions but feel that sometimes I fail miserably.
This same book of the law opens the door to man's liberty and victory. Very inspiring.
Many Christians like to claim the promises of God with the attached condition.
Joshua !:9 has two parts. First the is obedience and second the reward. Obedience to God's word provokes the reward. Good reminder. More of it please.
We're no longer under the law so there's no reason to meditate on the law day and night. We need to know the Bible and internalize it. But that's not the same thing.
