I won't lie and say that I didn't come here for the money. But every hour I spend here has felt so much different than when I would work at my laboratory or study for exams. It didn't feel like a job, especially with all the people I've met and the insights I've gained from reading quality posts.

When I first signed up here, Steemit greeted me with their banner saying "Come for the money. Stay for the community!" I think that's what happened to me. Every day I try and discover something new, meet another friend, or post some writing.

Although I've been here for barely a month, Steemit has already shown me its potential to make bridges among its users. I can only say that I'm very, very excited for the future.
