This is by no means, a spontaneous write-up but what I love more than a challenge is being pushed to do more.
So, it's been a while since I dropped anything here at all and I can itemize a thousand and one reasons why not.
To be honest, life has happened these past two weeks, I mean like real life has happened.
Well I'll rather not bore you into my "boring boredom" and go straight to my point.
It's easy to get overwhelmed by the different challenges that life throws at one on a daily basis, but the truth remains that once you allow yourself to be swallowed up by problems , it's difficult to make out time for any other thing, particularly the most important ones.
Attention tends to gravitate towards the ugly situations one is going through like pain, disappointment, hardship, hurt, betrayal, blackmail, hatred etc and these make one lose ability to focus on the more beautiful and important things of life.
Sometimes we want to withdraw, we want to be on our own, we have no motivation at all to do something positive. Hence, we give up on our best selves and with time, settle for mediocrity.
Too sad!
It's the obvious truth that you can sometimes feel less than good,be in a really dark place or can't just seem to muster any positivity. There is however, a particular "force" present at these times- mostly negative and most likely in your mind.
But guess what? This force can be harnessed for the best!
Emotions thrive on the nature of our thoughts;
Our thoughts take source from our mind;
The mind can be likened to an animal which can be tamed or left to run wild...
I'll typically propose that one masters the art of taming the mind and prevailing upon it so that one determines what or what not to dwell upon.
Having done that, even though you have no control over what life throws at you, you have control over how you take it!
However badly battered you are, always remember that NO THORNS, NO ROSES; NO FIRE, NO GOLD.
Bitterness begets beauty
Despair begets Hope
Shame begets Honour....
Harness the negative force and with it, birth excellence!
Well said and a great post for me to read just before I go to sleep. Thank you and goodnight.
Great point and this....
Bitterness begets beauty
Despair begets Hope
Shame begets Honour....
Inspiring
Thank you 😊
