Faisal Mosque is located in Islamabad, Pakistan and it's one of the major tourist attraction. The Sight of Margalla Hills from Faisal Mosque makes the view more beautiful and alluring.

Construction of the mosque started in 1976 after Saudi King Faisal granted $120 million, whose name the mosque bears. The design by the Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay was selected for the mosque after an international competition.

The Mosque is surrounded by four 260feet tall minarets. The inner part of the Mosque can hold up to 10,000 worshipers and the surrounding premises of the mosque can hold up to 200,000 more worshipers. The mosque covers the total area of 54,000 square ft.

Faisal Mosque is the largest Mosque in Pakistan and it was the largest in the world from 1986 to 1993.
