Dans l’objectif d’enrichir sa collection animale africaine et de diversifier l’offre présentée à ses visiteurs, le Jardin Zoologique accueille en ce mois de novembre 2017, 3 nouvelles espèces animales sauvages. Il s’agit du lion blanc, des panthères tachetées et du singe magot.
Pour la première fois au Maroc, le lion blanc, espèce rare qui peut s’observer dans les réserves naturelles d’Afrique, est présenté au zoo de Rabat.
Les visiteurs peuvent également découvrir dans la biozone « Savane africaine », les panthères tachetées, également appelées « léopards ». C’est une espèce appartenant à la famille des félins quasi éteinte en Afrique du Nord, où l’on pouvait jadis l’observer dans les montagnes du Haut Atlas. Elle vit principalement en Afrique subsaharienne et à l’ouest du désert du Kalahari en Namibie.
Très appréciés par les visiteurs, les singes magots sont de retour au zoo de Rabat au cœur de la « Montagne de l’Atlas ». Cette espèce menacée d’extinction est classée dans la liste rouge de l’UICN et bénéficie d’un programme de protection au niveau national.
La collection animale du zoo de Rabat est en croissance positive et est passée à environ 2000 animaux en 2017 représentant environ 190 espèces.
من أجل إثراء جمع الحيوانات الأفريقية وتنويع العرض المقدم لزوارها، ترحب حديقة الحيوان هذا نوفمبر 2017، 3 أنواع الحيوانات البرية الجديدة. هذا هو الأسد الأبيض، النمر رصدت والقرد قرد.
ولأول مرة في المغرب، يتم عرض الأسد الأبيض، وهو نوع نادر يمكن ملاحظته في المحميات الطبيعية لأفريقيا، في حديقة حيوان الرباط.
ويمكن للزوار أيضا اكتشاف في بيوزون "الأفريقية سافانا"، الفهود رصدت، وتسمى أيضا "النمور". وهو نوع ينتمي إلى عائلة القطط المنقرضة في شمال أفريقيا، حيث كان ينظر إليها مرة واحدة في جبال الأطلس الكبير. وهي تعيش أساسا في أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء الكبرى وغرب صحراء كالاهاري في ناميبيا.
وتقدر القرود الفخمة من قبل الزوار، وهي تعود إلى حديقة الرباط في قلب "جبل الأطلس". وهذه الأنواع المهددة بالانقراض مدرجة في القائمة الحمراء للاتحاد الدولي لحفظ الطبيعة، ولها برنامج حماية وطني.

Very appreciated by the visitors, the maggot monkeys are back to the zoo of Rabat in the heart of the "Mountain of the Atlas". This endangered species is listed in the IUCN Red List and has a national protection program.
