Hello, Hive! Here’s another wave of December Dump! Although it is already a bit late, I feel like I have to write this since this is one of the month for 2023 where I feel so productive (and tire) so here’s a rundown of my December 2023!
First, we had our first aid refresher training for the Red cross since I volunteered to be one of the medic in our school activity. It was just a 1 day event and the thing that we were taught there was not that hard already since we have already learned that during our Disaster Risk Reduction Culmination. But I would say that it was helpful since I already forgot some proper bandaging that I have learned during the culmination.
Second, It was our friend’s birthday so we celebrated it. We had dinner in one of the restaurants here in Bacolod. It was such a nice place, and plus, a band plays there every night.
Third, I attended a spiritual retreat! It was just held in a church and just a 1 night camp. It was such a great experience actually, we had few but exciting activities. What I like the most is the part where they let us write anything, may it be something we are thankful for or something we feel bad about. Somehow, it feels so comfortable writing down your feelings.
Fourth, It’s d-day! Our deployment. It is a P.E Culmination called “Hugyaw”, an activity where grade 11 and grade 12 students perform dances. This year, grade 11 performs aerobic exercise while the Grade 12 Students perform mardi gras. It was such a wonderful event yet so stressful also since many students had nausea after their performance.
Fifth, I bought a book! This is something that I look forward to every time we have a long school break since I don’t like reading a book while being busy in my school work, it makes me focus on my book more than my acads.
Sixth, we had our christmas party, which was just half day, so we had just 2 games and then snacks, and of course, something I am excited for, opening of gifts! It is manito manita to we had a wishlist, I was so happy with what I received.
Seventh, I bought flowers for myself! Real one and a lamp. It feels so good to have 1 actually, it's really nice to treat yourself sometimes.
Eighth, we had a pathfinder camp. This is my second pathfinder camp actually, and it is still so fun. We were tasked to cook an egg in a piece of bond paper and bread. We were also asked to have the foods we cooked displayed in our own makeshift table.
Ninth, we went to the beach! It was actually my first beach of the year since every time my family went to the beach lastime, I was not free since I had classes. It’s really good to be back here, I miss the sound of wave already.
Tenth, We watched movies! It is the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) so there are a lot of movies that are showing. My friends chose to watch “Mallari” which is about the first serial killer in the Philippines. It’s good since it’s like a combination of a real life story with fantasy–a documentary with a twist.
Eleventh, we went to cafe Cielli which I was already able to share t with you here! But I will never be tired of telling you how cozy and pretty that cafe was.
Twelveth, we also had our church year-end party which I organized. I didn’t know that it is this stressful to organize an event, from buying materials that were needed to facilitating other activities. Overall, it was one of my memorable moments of last year. Also, I love the gift I received from our manito manita.
So here is the rundown of my December 2023! I would say, It's wrap!
