Suddenly, the picture feels like it came out of some 1920s pre-Great Depression era.

Thank you :) I saw the slogan ‘capital of spies’ and then the background with its mixture of old and new buildings and everything fell into place. By the way...In Berlin they have just finished building the new headquarters of the German secret service. Not far away from where I took this photo. It is the same style as the very formal looking building in the background of my photo. Only very massive and kind of sinister looking. I would love to take some photos of that building although I don’t have a clue whether there are some restrictions in place that would forbid to take photos. Guess I’ll give it a try.
