Ach! Vinyl always gets me. I'm a sucker for those things. Even with all the HD, Ultra HD whatever audio, you could still hear the subtle loss due to compression. With vinyl it's raw and you could hear the sound like you're hearing it being recorded live. So awesome! Great angle on this, and great subject as well.

Yeah - I've often thought about why vinyl sounds so great. Apart from its warm tone, I think there's something about the fact that it's not 'perfect' which appeals to the ear. In a similar sense, take a band like the Rolling Stones who play in a very loose, wobbly style. There's something exciting about it, like it could all go wrong at any time :)
