Scenes from a Portuguese Café

#MonochromeMonday

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you are having a pleasant start to the week. Here is a photo that I took on my trip to Lisbon, Portugal for STEEMFest 2 in November of 2017. This was seen outside of a little cafe in the LX Factory called 'Chef Nino'. I stopped here for lunch during my visit to the STEEMFest Art Gallery. I ordered a delicious salad and was very satisfied with my meal. I loved the ambiance of the Portuguese café and the LX Factory in general.

Did you have the chance to listen to Fado, we set out to not like it but we found this incredible little place and it was beautiful.

There was no live music being played at this particular cafe at the time, despite the instrument outside. But I did witness some local Portuguese music at several bars around the city and I thought it was quite pleasant.

We're big fans now .... will be posting about Fado soon. It's almost easier to listen to than to Flamenco :)

I would love to visit Lisbon. I think that musical instrument is a mandolin

I think you may be right! Lisbon was a beautiful place. You should definitely try to visit someday!

A very beautiful photo. I wanted always to learn how to play the flute and the instrument you have in the photo. We call it Oud here :)

Thank you @hanen! I had no idea what it was called. Almost looks like a ukelele. You should go and learn it so you share your songs on STEEM! :)

Happy Monday to you too:)
