Autumnal Monochrome Monday

For various reasons, we've not had the chance to go out and do the exploring and visiting that we did last year and the year before around this time. Most of it is appointment, tutoring and all that related. We know that it's not going to be a permanent thing, so we are making sacrifices now for benefits later. Thankfully we are already seeing some of the benefits.

With that, I've had to stretch back into my photo archives a little bit and find some pictures from last autumn to use!

I have definitely missed the adventures that we usually go on. It's a lot of fun and it's really healing and cathartic for our brains and bodies to be able to go out and do enjoyable things instead of work and all kinds of things like that. We do what we can and have to do though, so we make due.

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. It's picturesque in so many ways, and it's also really refreshing and enjoyable. The weather cools down, the plants and animals are winding down for the year to get ready for a winter. It's bittersweet because summer is enjoyable but I've lived in a place with 4 seasons for so long that I don't know if I would truly enjoy year round summer that they do in places like the Caribbean, though I've not given it a whirl.

Autumn has a really relaxing feel to it, because we are getting all wound up during the spring and summer to get all kinds of things ready and done and when autumn comes, we are still doing a lot but it's wind down time in a lot of ways. Maybe if we were more attuned to the land, autumn would be just as challenging because we would have to harvest all kinds of crops and stuff and winter would be wind down. Eventually we are going to get a place that has land and can enjoy things like that.

I love the autumn photos when they are turned into black and white. They have a different look and feel to them compared to full color. It conveys the winding down of the season in a different way, I think and it ends up being quite nice.

The mountain below is breathtaking for sure, and we love going to the area but looking at it in black and white is a lot different. We get a better appreciation for the somber feel of the picture overall, with the hundreds of thousands of years of weather that's worn it away slowly and breaking off the faces of the cliffs.

Something about them fits very well with the weather outside and the change of seasons. I've always been a fan of black and white photography anyway. Very nice!

Yeah, autumn photos and winter photos in black and white have been my favorite! It really highlights the death and decay in a way. Not that it's morbid, but the natural death and decay are interesting with black and white.

I hear ya!

I know that sometimes we need to sacrifice one thing in order to get another things, it is just part of life, you just need to choose one that beneficial to you now and also in the future.
Have a great day man, and enjoy the autumn as much as you can. : )

Cheers, thanks for the wise words man :D. It is indeed about the opportunity cost. There is always going to be a cost, it is just weighing what is more important in terms of cost!

As always the monochrome water leaves me in awe...😍

I do love the water in black and white! :D

Attractive and beautiful image display.

Indeed thank you!
