Oh my :( That is terrible and I feel so bad for you. Was there no insurance that would have covered the phone?

I know when I travel I always pay a little extra for my laptop or phone not because I want to replace them but I don't want to lose out on them either. I encrypt everything and sync to my own servers and so am less worried about personal data being compromised but I understand not everyone is willing to go to such lengths.

It is so devastating though and I really feel sad for you and all the stress it causes. We invest so much in our phones it is like loosing your life in some respects.

I really hope it all works out and it will not sting as much in time.
