Some say Canada. Some say Switzerland. Some say The US. Some say Japan. Some say Iceland but really it is none of these places.
Of course, there is safe places within all of these countries but here we are talking about the number one safest country over all! And living here in the North America, I can confidently say Canada is definitely ruled out of the equation.
I remember going to Florida earlier in the year and witnessing people carrying guns. I actually could not believe my eyes because in Ontario, Canada you definitely could not even make it down the street with a gun let alone grocery shop with it on your hip. That to me was a huge eye opener realizing how different where I come from can be from other places (for many good and bad reasons).
But yes, let us reveal the number one winner for most safest country to live in as of 2016 shall we! And the winner issss... cues drum roll! Singapore! Yes Singapore! Singapore has low crime, doesn't mean no crime. This is the slogan with which Singapore adheres to.
During the initial days of Singapore formation, it was very unstable and unsafe. You can read about crimes and political rallies being rampant. It took Lee Kuan Yew all his strength to make his vision of Singapore come to life. Laws are strict and if found guilty, no lawyer or money can save you. Anti-corruption measures introduced by him was a game changer.
The government doesn't tolerate nonsense in the name of democracy. Singapore is well monitored by cameras. It might seem a bit like an expanded sets of Big Brother, but safety is above all. Not to mention it is a pretty rich island! So there it is guys! Safe place to live, go on a book your stay before WW3 and all that.
'Til tomorrow, Steemites.
