Im a pro poker player, I've been blogging about my sessions and hoping use the blog to motivate myself to keep driving forward.
Today's session was a relatively uneventful one, especially as i had to cut it short to fix my HUD which is why the graph has a long flattish line. I was playing low stakes while trying to fix the issue. On the bright side i pocketed 2k for my troubles!
My biggest winning hand of the day netted me $2,748 profit, in a very loose game I 4 bet AK104 and saw a very nice flop before getting the last of the chips in and making four of a kind!
My biggest loss for the day was $1,990. The player holding AK109 reraised me preflop and four of went to the flop.
Everyone checked to the preflop reraiser who moved all in. I called and was happy to see that I was a 61% favourite to win the $4,790 pot. Unfortunately the 39% outcome prevailed...
Once again, be sure to let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for future posts. I'm not sure what the depth of knowledge of poker is like on steemit so let me know if you would like me to expand more or if you're happy with the format I've used so far. I'll also be doing some lengthier posts about how I got to where I am so follow me if you're interested to see those.
Cheers,
thelimon
Some great runouts for you! How the hell that SB got to the flop in your first hand is beyond me, but hey - I guess it's why these games are still profitable! When I was playing (micros) I was petrified of the players in almost any higher stakes because obviously they are all poker gods who will crush us little donkeys... But I guess not!
What sites you play on? I haven't played a hand in over 6 months, but still keen... If time ever allows.
The pros are all seriously good now, but the recreationals are still recreationals.. lots of puzzling plays... were you playing PLO?
Yep, and a lot of PLO8, both cash and tournaments. And plenty NLHE tourneys too. Lots of fun, made a little money but never as able to put the time in to make it a full time but. Would love to be able to bring in a few dollars from it, but also concerned I might have missed the boat and the good players are so far ahead that I'll just get crushed now.
But based on the preflop play from your opponents in some of your hand histories... Wow...
