I decided to downvote your comment to oblivion with part of my voting power. I have more at my disposal if needed.

I have several reasons. (1) The its v. it's grammar rant is the most tired of all rants, grammar or otherwise. Absolutely no one who has ever corrected the usage of possessive it has done so in a polite way and you are no exception.

(2) The author used its correctly more times than it's in the article, suggesting he doesn't need your rude correction. At worst, the isolated errors appear to be typos, and is in fact one I make myself with considerable frequency. This typo has nothing to do with not understanding the distinction between the two words and everything to do with typing as one thinks, which is the usual mode--unless one is simply transcribing, for the hundredth time, a tired rant about possessive it.

Well, ultimately, I was calling his analysis wrong, not criticizing his grammar, but feel free to conveniently ignore that part.

PS: That's not what flagging is for.
